[KR005] Jean Nine - Black Folders And Voodoo Archives

It's time for a more rhythmical release from the Republic of Kyoto! Jean Nine presents a full serving of IDM on his new album "Black Folders And Voodoo Archives", a more dance oriented predecessor for his "Music Is a Wounded Animal" (2002). Drilling broken electro and drum'n'bass beats face the pumping basslines, epileptic ADHD grooves and mellow melodies. Among the new tracks some pieces are lost and found treasures from the deepest dungeons of Jean's backup medium and some of the tracks have been semi-released, but now finally released officially as remastered versions.

There haven't been complete EP/album release by Jean Nine since 2002 - until now. His new EP represents a five track aural journey in the gray shades of triphop and postrock. Those 35 minutes go through a slow and gentle aureal development from the sweet melancholic harmony of guitars and strings to sudden explosions of the star systems while keeping its listener in a tight grip.
